Our next part of the Kenyan journey was to fly from Nairobi to Dinai. Dinai is a resort town on the Indian Ocean perhaps 50 kms south of Mombasa.

Dinai is beautiful. No doubt about that. It is one of several resort towns along the coast. The town is essentially a single road that parallels the coast. Lots of shacks and lean-tos and the same three-wheeled scooters that were all over India.

Let's start with the animals.

This guy is one of many who are always looking for some treat, like this cocoanut. Or an unlocked door to your room!

Of course, not all are animate.

The artist has a sense of humor!

Other animals are very animate.

Off we go on a ride.

Alcohol is never far away from a resort-town world!

Here's a sample of breakfast. Wow! Fresh, ripe fruit!

Cocoanut milk and then the meat can be peeled and eaten. Really good!

The staff helps to celebrate birthdays.

Long, white sandy beaches. Just beautiful!

There's a reef maybe a half-mile offshore which keeps the waves hitting the beach of a manageable size.

Dinai was a lovely spot, a world away from Nairobi and the game refugees of the Masai.

Cheers,

Brio
