If Napoleon's proverb, "an army marches on its stomach" has any vercity, it then applies to sailors and travelers of all sorts. Brio's crew is no exception. Fortunately, our outing at The Black Duck gave us the fuel to march for nautical mile after nautical mile.`

Is that a little French moustache of asparagus on Steve's visage? Mais oui!
Steve had the duck while crab filled Jeff's and Chris's plates. These were not small servings. And they were rich. But when you think of our surviving on salt pork and stale biscuits for weeks, this might make sense. Hopefully it makes sense even if we hadn't been starving.

And ...

The potatoes were really very good. As was the rest of the meal.
Of course, these didn't finish us off. Dessert was offered. Some sort of chocolate extreme and a cheesecake to die for.
Please believe us when we say we are dainty eaters. For example, here's the before and after on the chocolate express. Express, that is, to high levels of sugary delight.

Oh, yum. And afterwards?

Please note the discretion here. There was still some whipped cream left over.
Cheers,
Brio
